Cancer support

Dealing with cancer or another serious illness can be traumatic. Hasbro’s medical plans and programs support you throughout the entire process, including early cancer detection, second opinion resources, personalized attention and financial support.

Hasbro partners with two cancer early detection companies – Color and Galleri to help you detect cancer early and take action on your health. 

Color is confidential and available to employees and their spouses/domestic partners aged 18+, if enrolled in a Hasbro medical plan. This free service helps you better detect cancer early. Get free at-home cancer screening, easy access to in-person services like mammograms and colonoscopies, private genetic testing and support from a team of cancer experts. Galleri offers a blood test that looks for a signal shared by 50+ types of cancer identifying cancers that don’t yet have screenings. Aetna’s Transform Oncology Program helps you access a Personal Navigator with experience in cancer diagnosis and treatments to provide you and your caretaker with personalized support. Access your Personal Navigator through a “Request a call” button located on the Aetna Cancer Support Center on the Aetna member website.

2nd.MD is a free, virtual second opinion service that connects you with nationally recognized, board-certified specialists from the comfort of your home if you enroll in a Hasbro medical plan. Get expert advice when you or an eligible family member has questions about a new or existing diagnosis, a treatment plan, possible surgery, medications or a chronic condition. Aetna offers two voluntary plans that can help you cover costs. 

The Aetna Critical Illness Plan pays benefits when a doctor diagnoses you with a covered serious illness or condition, like cancer. Use the benefits to help pay out-of-pocket medical costs or towards personal expenses, such as deductibles, copays, mortgage, rent, groceries or utility bills. There are 3 coverage options: $15,000, $30,000 or $45,000 so you can choose the level that suits your needs. Claims can be filed online and benefits will be paid directly to you by check or direct deposit. Claims can be filed online and benefits will be paid directly to you by check or direct deposit. Caregiver support

Caring for a loved one can be challenging. Hasbro’s benefits plans and programs offer support and resources to help support you navigate your way through this life’s journey.

Get help in caring for your aging loved ones through Health Advocate’s Generations Aging Adult & Caregiver Support Program. Receive ongoing access to a dedicated Nurse Coach who can guide you through the healthcare system and can help you:

  • Get answers to Medicare and Medicaid questions
  • Resolve claims and billing issues
  • Find in-network doctors and specialists for your loved one’s specific needs
  • Make doctor’s appointments and transfer medical records
  • Manage stress, depression and other feelings associated with caregiving and aging loved ones
  • Understand long-term care policy benefits, benefit amounts, duration and qualification requirements.
  • Locate senior care services, including living facilities, dementia care, palliative care and hospice.

Bright Horizons is a national program that can provide you with high-quality services to help you care for your loved ones. Access back-up care services when your regular caregiver calls out sick or is unavailable. Visit the website or call 877-242-2737 to learn more.

Take advantage of the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible dependent care expenses. You can contribute $100 to $5,000 per household or $100 to $2,500 f you are married and filing separate federal tax returns. Contributions are made though pre-tax payroll deductions and you can cover children under age 13 or a qualifying relative/adult dependent.

Family support

Hasbro’s benefits and programs support you and your family throughout your life’s journeys.

Hasbro offers two programs to support you throughout your maternity journey.

The Aetna Enhanced Maternity Program gives you access to:  

  • A fertility advocate 
  • Phone-based genetic counseling and screening, as well as convenient, confidential and cost-effective genetic testing
  • A personal nurse if you have health conditions that may affect your pregnancy
  • Guidance and support to help you stop smoking
  • Helpful information on prenatal care, labor and delivery 
  • Digital support through the Aetna Maternity Support Center in the Health & Wellness section of your Aetna member website

Hasbro offers generous financial support to help you offset the cost of adopting or fostering a child through Businessolver. If you work a minimum of 30 hours per week, and have at least one year of service with Hasbro, you’re eligible to receive financial assistance: up to $15,000 for adoption and up to $1,500 for fostering a child. Eligible Hasbro moms and dads can take up to 10 weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment to care for and bond with their newborns, adopted children or foster children. The first 4 weeks are at full base salary, and employees employed for 6 months or more can take an additional 6 weeks at 60% of base salary. (This is in addition to short-term disability for birth moms).

Apply for the Alfred J. Verrecchia Scholarship Program, administered by Businessolver, to help cover the cost of college for your dependent. The program is open to dependent children of eligible employees and recipients are selected by an independent party, Scholarship America, Inc. Up to 10 new awards are made each year.
